Ultra Electronics maritime systems, LFHUSS upgrade for Korea

Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems Inc. (UEMS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $1.1M contract by the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) of the Republic of Korea. Under the contract, UEMS will implement the second phase of a project to upgrade the Low Frequency High-power Underwater Sound Source (LFHUSS) system that the company previously delivered to ADD.

“UEMS delivered the original LFHUSS system to us more than ten years ago” stated Yonggon Lee, Senior Researcher at ADD. “However, with these phases of technology insertion and upgrades, the company has added the additional capability that is essential to our advanced research in underwater surveillance and anti-submarine warfare.”
